A history of success

The Mazda Performance Series (MPS) draws on a rich racing heritage. For more than three decades, Mazda's been a name associated with global racing success.

We were the first, and only, Japanese car company to ever taste overall victory in the world famous Le Mans 24 Race. Our RX-7 was the most successful model in International Motorsports Association history, with more than 100 victories in the 1970s and 80s. And in 2001 we became the first manufacturer to be title sponsor of a major motorsport facility, with the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California.

We have a worldwide presence - grounded in grass roots racing. With numerous victories in countless races, Mazda certainly has a blueprint for success. And we've used our racetrack experience and technological expertise throughout the design of the Mazda6 MPS - Europe's first ever MPS model.
